MLA

Use these links in order to cite your sources correctly, both internally and in your works cited page.

EasyBib
EasyBib allows you to create citations automatically by merely typing in your source information.  It also offers an auto-cite feature for some sources.  Get MyBib Pro by typing in our coupon code when you register for an account.  Get the coupon code by visiting the Passwords page on the library website.

WorldCat
WorldCat is the world’s largest library catalog. Like EasyBib, this site allows you to search for your source and then create the citation automatically. This site works extremely well for book sources, but not periodicals. No registration required, unless you want to collect and organize your work.

SMS Sample Research Paper
Completed by a Sunapee seventh-grade student, this paper shows several of the essential compents found in a quality research paper.

SMHS Printable Style Guide
Updated in 2009, this style guide provides examples of MLA formatting for a variety of sources.  It is primarily based on the OWL site (below) and the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers.

SMHS MLA Formatting Checklist
Before turning in your paper, use this checklist to ensure that your citations and your paper are properly formatted.

Information from the Purdue University Online Writing Lab (OWL)
Although geared toward college students, the OWL site contains perhaps the most popular and useful online style guide.
