Library Info
Sunapee Middle High School Library promotes information literacy and strives to provide quality research tools, books, magazines, and educational programming in an organized, comfortable, and productive learning environment.
Mission: The library’s mission is to support the school instructional program and to provide materials which meet the academic, recreational, and information needs of all students. In an effort to promote information literacy for independent life-long learning and to make the library an integral part of the school community, library staff members are committed to providing ongoing instruction and service to students and staff. As the information center of Sunapee Middle High School, the library maintains a substantial collection of books, periodicals, and audio-visual material. Further, the library subscribes to several periodical and research databases in order to meet student information needs.
Loans: All library materials must be checked out at the circulation desk. Students may check out a maximum of four items at any time. The loan period for books is four weeks. The loan period for periodicals and audio-visual materials is one week. Technology equipment may be checked out overnight, provided permission forms have been processed. Current issues of periodicals do not circulate. Limitations are placed on borrowing privileges when items are overdue.
Expectations: Students should view the library as a productive, academic, business-like work space. In other words, courteous, cooperative, and purposeful use of the room is required at all times. When using computer equipment in the library, students must observe the terms of the school’s Technology Agreement. Students who are in need of assistance should always ask for help.
